Since I was actually up at $1/2 I didn't want to set $240 on fire praying for two quick double ups so I got a refund and kept playing $1/2.
I called in while I was in line for the tourney but there wouldn't have been a wait even without doing so.īy the time they were about to call me, I would have had 25 big blinds. I wound up being alternate #70 and sat down at a $1/2 game. I arrived at the poker room at 10:55 (twenty minutes before it started) and there was a huge line snaking through the room and they already sold the 180 available seats (20 nine-handed tables). A friend of mine called me and said there was no line and about 100 entrants so I thought it would be fine. I didn't play the tournament after all but it was not due to a lack of effort.
Nobody posted about the tournament so better to be late to the game than to say nothing.
